As everybody knew that petrol price in Malaysia has been increased to RM2.70 from RM1.92. A shock 78cent which definitely hurt most of us, normal Malaysian people. It was a sudden news which expected to announce only in August. But the thing is happened…..
News spread that there will be 100,000 peoples to protest this at KLCC on this July 12.
PROTES 100000: 12 Julai 2008 Bakal Mencatat Sejarah di KLCC
For me, hopeless think that unless there is a miracle, the increase will never be reversed. I may be wrong. I not really prefer protest/demo which I believe, most of the time will turn ugly & hurt normal Malaysian.
Tun Mahathir also express his opinion on the issue

By the way, live must goes on and my immediate (almost) action is call few NGV installer in JB for quotation for installation of NGV to my Waja.

I booked mine at Presind. The total cost would be RM3,650 for standard installation of NGV – 57 litter tank. But, since they are busy right now (received so many order), mine is schedule on 24th June. Whatever lah. Just wait for it.
Anyway, below is the calculation of recoverability on my current petrol consumption.
Since the extra money spend on petrol for 3 years = cost of installation of NGV (based on above calculation), plus monthly saving of about RM2-3 hundred if using NGV, I decided that NGv is the way to go for me. I will update again when the NGV is installed.
Until then, lets just relax and see the domino effect of increase in petrol price in Malaysia with agony.

It is supply and Demand. Economic Lesson 101
If you increase the supply and there is less demand for whatever you are selling, There price of the product and service will be low.
If you have less and supply and there more demand, the price will increase.
So NGV installation of Carb engine used to RM2,800 but after the petrol surge, it has increase to RM3500.
Sequential for most efficient NGV to EFI upgrade is used to be 5,300 is now surge to RM7000
So, if you want the price to go down, wait for the flood gate to exhaust all it’s power but then you be paying more at the pump for your gas (petrol not NGV)
Go mine NGV scheduled already… ha ha ha
